Edna Adan Ismail presentations in philadelphia, Feb. 2012

Edna Adan Ismail is a former Foreign Minister of Somaliland. She founded Edna Adan Maternity Hospital in Hargeisa, Somaliland with the primary mission to provide better health care to people whose lives have been traumatized by war, and also to provide training for nurses, midwives, and other health workers. She has also been featured in the book "Half the Sky" by Nicholas Kristof & Sheryl WuDunn.
