FELLOWSHIPS, SCHOLARSHIPS & GRANT OPPORTUNITIES


FELLOWSHIP: ROCKEFELLER POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP, DARTMOUTH COLLEGE

*Application deadline is February 15, 2005. The Women's and Gender Studies Program (WGST) at Dartmouth College seeks candidates to nominate for the Rockefeller Post-Doctoral Fellowship for the academic year 2005-2006. The successful candidate from WGST will be forwarded to a larger pool of applicants drawn from social science departments, interdisciplinary programs, and research groups within the Rockefeller Center. The fellowship is a nine-month commitment, with the possibility of renewal. The term of appointment is September 1, 2005, through June 30, 2006. Candidates must have research interests in women and/or gender studies and some aspect of public policy, and be eligible to teach a course for the Public Policy Minor that may also be cross-listed in the department/program. FELLOWSHIP: MELLON POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP, HAVERFORD COLLEGE

*Application deadline is February 18, 2005 Scholars researching violence and terrorism in literary, autobiographical, philosophical, political, or religious discourses, or visual media are invited to apply for a two-year fellowship. During each of the four semesters of his/her time at Haverford College, the Fellow also will teach one intermediate or advanced level course. Applicants should submit two brief course proposals relating to their areas of interest, one for a broad-based introductory or intermediate-level course, the other for a specialized or advanced course. Candidates who have received the Ph.D. in 2000 at the earliest or who have completed the requirements for the Ph.D. by the application deadline of February 18, 2005 are eligible.
