AFRICAN LANGUAGES AT PENN

Tigrinya

Tigrinya is a semitic language spoken in the Horn region of Africa as a primary language by the majority of the inhabitants of Eritrea and of the Tigray region of Northern Ethiopia. About 3.5 million people in Eritrea and close to 5 million people in Ethiopia speak Tigrinya.

Tigrinya Advanced II (Sixth semester of Tigrinya)  

The level I and II courses are offered in the fall and spring, respectively.
