AFRICAN LANGUAGES AT PENN

AMHARIC

Amharic is a Semitic language belonging to the Afro-Asiatic family. It is spoken by approximately 18 million people in Ethiopia, where it is the official language.

Amharic Intermediate I (Third semester of Amharic)  
Amharic Intermediate I (Fourth semester of Amharic)  
Amharic Advanced I (Fifth semester of Amharic)  
Amharic Advanced II (Sixth semester of Amharic)  

The level I and II courses are offered in the fall and spring, respectively.
