The Journal of Family History will be publishing a special issue on

The editors are interested in a range of themes including education,
crime, health, slavery, adoption, pawning and child-rearing. This list
is by no means exclusive and other relevant themes are welcome. We are
particularly interested in articles focusing on the colonial period.
Submissions must be original and previously unpublished. Interested
individuals should send an abstract (400 words) and CV as an email
attachment to <audra_diptee@carleton.ca> by January 15th, 2008 for
