General description
It is a small tree similar to 'Mata' and 'Quetata' tree species. The fruits are hairy like the fruits of Ficus vasta and red.

Fruits are edible. Everybody collects and consumes the fruits when available. The fruits taste very sweet.

Found in lowlands of the Tekeze River watershed.

Remarks
The Agonia name means 'you forget everything but the fruit', - the story goes that a woman collecting 'Atitmiso' was so absorbed she forgot to return home to her husband.
