Film & Panel Discussion: "A Doctor of My Own"

Monday, April 6, 2015 - 5:00pm - 6:30pm
John Morgan Bldg, Hamilton Walk ROOM: Reunion Hal

Director Trisha Pasricha’s documentary film, A DOCTOR OF MY OWN, examines a sustainable solution to the healthcare worker shortage sweeping across Sub-Saharan Africa: medical education. The film explores the emerging stories of Namibia's inaugural medical students as they trek from the classroom to the countryside and encounter patients who have never before met a doctor from their own country. The film screening will be followed by a panel discussion with the film maker, Dr. Kassa Darge (CHOP and Penn Med), and Harriet Okatch (Penn MPH student)
