Africa orientation

 

This orientation seeks to bring together any and all undergraduate, graduate, and soon to be post-graduate students traveling to Africa for research, internships, study abroad or other programs throughout the year. Knowledgeable speakers will discuss the featured topics below, followed by breakout sessions that will discuss issues ranging from cultural differences in terms of gender, religion, sexual preferences and disability, plus region specific logistics, what (not) to bring, local customs, and more. Faculty and administrators accompanying students on travels to Africa are also encouraged to attend.
