FEMNET

The African Women Development Communication Network (FEMNET), formed in 1988, is a consortium of five subregional networks representing north, central, west, east, and southern Africa. FEMNET serves to strengthen the role of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) concerned with the integration of women in the development process in Africa. The network facilitates collective action and the institutionalization of systems that monitor project and program progress toward improving the status of women. UNICEF hosts the FEMNET regional Secretariat. For additional information, contact: Njoki Wainaina, FEMNET, P.O. Box 54562, Nairobi, Kenya.
