Dear Friends,

We are pleased to confirm that the 3rd. European Meeting of NGOs in Solidarity with Guinea-Bissau will be held on 29th and 30th of April, in Lisbon, under the theme "The NGOs in the Re-Launching Process of Guinea-Bissau".=20

The meeting will take place at Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, Room 2 / Congress Area (address: Avenida de Berna, n=BA 45-A - "Pra=E7a de Espanha"= =20 Subway Station).=20

We ask all the participants who wish to make hotel reservations to be so kind to forward us that request until the 21st. of April. We suggest the accommodation at the Hotel Berna - Av. Ant=F3nio Serpa, 13, Tel. +351.1.793 67 67 ("Campo Pequeno" Subway Station) -, as it is very near to the place of the meeting and the prices are quite reasonable (9.000PTE, for a double room, and 8.000PTE for a single's, both including breakfast).=20

We are trying our best to assure the simultaneous translation of the meeting, both in English and French, which is all depending on the allocation of the necessary funds.=20

The quality and number of confirmations already received - either of European and Bissau-Guinean NGOs and of Guinea Catholic Church Organisations, as well as of International Organisations who will also participate in the Round-Table of Donors, to be held in Geneva - lead us to believe that this meeting will be a very important moment in the debate concerning the participation of the NGOs in the re-launching process and also that it may have a very positive influence over the Donors Round-Table.=20

Nevertheless, we ask the NGOs and International and Bilateral Co-operation Organisations that wish to participate but still haven't forward us its confirmation, to please do so until the forthcoming 21st. of April, by e-mail acepongd@mail.telepac.pt or by fax fax +351 1 386 36 99.=20
