ANNOUNCING H-Swahili: H-Net Network on Swahili Language and Culture

Sponsored by H-Net, Humanities & Social Sciences Online and the African Studies Center

ABOUT H-Swahili

The H-Swahili network will strive to conduct its business in Swahili and in English as the primary languages on topical issues related to the use, teaching, promotion and general advancement of the Swahili language and culture, which is spoken by over 100 million people throughout East, Central and parts of Southern Africa.

Like all H-Net lists, H-Swahili is moderated to edit out material that, in the editors' opinion, is not germane to the list, involves technical matters (such as subscription management requests), is inflammatory, or violates evolving, yet common, standards of Internet etiquette. H-Net's procedure for resolving disputes over list editorial practices is Article II, Section 2.20 of our bylaws, located at:

http://www.h-net.org/about/by-laws.html
