Senior Research Associate, Kenya
In Conjunction with Technical Supervisor in North Carolina and Operational Supervisor in Nairobi Kenya, develops programmatic research studies from conceptualization to literature review and protocol design; determines technical objectives; oversees incoming data and monitors data quality; and recommends the selection of project staff. BS/BA in public health or related field and 11-12 years relevant experience and professional level of knowledge and expertise in research methods and application; or MS/MA /MPH and 8-9 years relevant experience; or MD/PhD and 3 years relevant experience and professional level of knowledge and expertise in research methods and application.

Senior Program Officer, Africa Regional Office
To give programmatic support to the Senior Director, Global Operations for the Africa Regional office based in Nairobi. Main responsibilities include: Provide leadership for projects and/or support country programs in a select region, particularly in large, complex or start-up programs; Provide ongoing programmatic; management; and financial oversight required by projects and/or the regional and country offices; Lead in the decentralization authority process for countries and regional project and participate in the country and project assessments; Participate in resource development efforts and coordinate proposal development teams, as necessary; Build capacity of country offices, regional projects and implementing partners to manage programming; Liaise with FHI HQ GO program office to ensure requirements of country and regional programs are met. BS/BA in public health or related field, and 7 - 9 years relevant experience with international development programs. or MS/MA in public health or related field, and 5 - 7 years relevant experience with international development programs. Associate Director, Shared Services, Mozambique
Oversee the administration and financial of the Country and Field Offices; Manage HR systems; support staff recruitment, development, management; Training and on-the/job-training of FHI national staff and concerned implementing partners; Manages contracts and subgrants; Assists in budget development and ensures budget tracking; Supervise financial staff and maintain control of expenditures; Strengthen administration and contractual systems in compliance with FHI, donor policies; Oversee financial reporting per FHI and donor requirements; Supervises Logistics, Procurement, Communications, including IT and Security; Provides leadership during auditing process BS/BA in Business Management or related field, and 7 - 9 years relevant experience in international development organizations. Or MS/MA in Business Management or related field, and 5 - 7 years relevant experience in international development organizations. Overseas field experience required. Portuguese/Spanish language required.

Senior Technical Officer, HBC and OVC, Mozambique
The Senior Technical Officer, Home Based Care (HBC) and Orphans & Vulnerable Children (OVC) will provide technical assistance to FHI's HIV/AIDS Care and Support Program team, comprised of three program officers that oversee the Prevention of Mother To Child Transmission/Care & Treatment (PMTCT/CT), Sexually Transmitted Infections/Tuberculosis (STIs/TB) and Home Based Care (HBC) components of the Program. The STO will initiate the coordination of the PMTCT, CT and HBC through the development of a model that links and responds to the needs of OVC; Strategically coordinate the implementation of activities to ensure technical soundness and quality of HIV/AIDS Care and Support Program interventions; Collaborate closely with the Ministry of Health (MoH), key stakeholders; Provide technical assistance to HBC implementing partners to build technical capacity; and Ensure coordination and provision of HBC, OVC services and other appropriate interventions including other prevention and support services in the community. BS/BA in public health or related field, and 7-9 years relevant experience in HIV/AIDS Program design and management; or MS/MA/MPH and 5 - 7 years relevant experience; or PhD, MD or similar degree with 3 - 5 years relevant experience. Community Based program experience required. Overseas field experience required. Partner liaison, communications and coordination skills desired, as well as supervisory and interpersonal communication skills. Senior Technical Officer, PMTCT, Mozambique
The PMTCT Senior Technical Officer is responsible for providing technical assistance to FHI HIV/AIDS Care and Support Program particularly to the Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV (PMTCT) component of the Program. Provide Technical Assistance to the Provincial Health Directorate (DPS) in Zambezia Province to mange the PMTCT program at the national level. Ensure that the Provincial PMTCT program is sound and meet the National Protocols and quality standards including evidence-base best practices. Collaborate closely with the Ministry of Health, key stakeholders. Provide technical assistance to PMTCT implementing partners to build technical capacity. Ensure coordination and provision PMTCT services and other appropriate intervention including ARV treatment, HBC and other prevention and support services in the community. BS/BA in public health or related field, and 7-9 years relevant experience in HIV/AIDS Program design and management; or MS/MA/MPH and 5 - 7 years relevant experience; or PhD, MD or similar degree with 3 - 5 years relevant experience. English required, fluency in Portuguese desired. *Offer is contingent upon awarded proposal.

Director, Shared Services, Nigeria
Manages all financial aspects of USAID/PEPFAR, DfID, GFATM and other funded projects in Nigeria; ensuring efficient oversight of all finance, administrative, contracts, grants and travel activities. Main responsibilities include: Manages and reviews all financial and administrative functions; Ensures that project policies and procedures are consistent with FHI and donor regulations, including USAID/Nigeria policies and procedures; Coordinates the review of subcontracts, sub-agreements, and other obligations; Overseers purchasing of supplies and equipment for project operations; Responsible for overseeing finance functions and reporting by all field offices and project partners; Participates in the development of the office budget and the budgets of project implementing partners (NGOs, research institutions, etc); Manages project materials and equipments; Manages personnel; Conduct regular audits with project partners; Performs other duties as assigned by the Country Director. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (or related) and 11 - 13 years experience in project administration, finance and personnel management, or Master's degree in Business Administration (or related field) and 9 - 11 years experience. Experience with USAID regulations is strongly desired, as is PEPFAR experience. Strong working knowledge of computer programs: Word, Excel, etc.

Director, Lab Services, Nigeria
Provides leadership and management oversight of all aspects of the FHI/GHAIN laboratory services in Nigeria. This includes infrastructure up-grading of mainly public sector laboratories newly included in the program, supply chain management and all laboratory best practice aspects, capacity building of lab scientists at service and management level, laboratory maintenance, quality assurance and improvement, and an advisory role to the Government of Nigeria in the organization and system strengthening aspects of cost-efficient laboratory services with defined quality standards on tertiary, secondary and primary service level. Advises on new technology development and its application in the Nigerian context. MD/PhD in laboratory sciences or related fields with at least 7 years professional experience in day-to-day running and management of laboratory service; includes 5-7 years of supervisory experience including multi-centre supervision, overseas field experience required. Experience in establishing and managing laboratory services in developing countries including CD4, HIV viral load and HIV early infant diagnosis, TB culture and TB drug sensitivity testing. Certification of license to practice as medical laboratory scientist required.

Deputy Chief of Party, Technical, Nigeria
Provides technical and management leadership, develop technical strategies and oversee their design and implementation of programs for the USAID-funded GHAIN project. Main responsibilities include: Provides technical expertise and leadership for the design and implementation of HIV/AIDS prevention, care, treatment and support programs; Works in close coordination with the Deputy Chief of Party, Program Management, and supports the Chief of Party/GHAIN, and the relevant staff of USAID/Nigeria; Provides leadership and supervision to the Directors of Community Services, Care and Treatment, and Monitoring and Evaluation; Ensures that high quality and state of the art HIV prevention, care and treatment interventions are implemented in a timely manner and in coordination and collaboration with GHAIN partners, other USG partners (e.g. CDC, UMD, Harvard) and the GON; Oversees quality assurance program for all technical aspects of the Project. MD degree and ten years professional health care experience including at least 7-9 years specialized experience in HIV/AIDS care in developing country settings plus at least 5 years management experience. Overseas field experience required.

Associate Director, Human Resources & Admin., Nigeria
Assist the Director of Shared Services in the provision of leadership and management oversight of all aspects of the FHI/GHAIN Human Resources Management and General Administrative Services in Nigeria. This HR tasks include recruitment planning/coordination, training, appraisal, (re-)deployments, conflict resolution and the interpretation of relevant HR policies/procedures and laws. General Administrative Services include efficient working of the Country and Zonal offices, security matters, space management, management of leases, cleaning/janitorial services and the maintenance of acceptable workplace culture. BA/BSc (or recognized equivalent) in Human Resources Management, Personnel Management, Industrial Psychology and the Humanities; At least 9 years professional experience in day-to-day running and management of human resources and general administration in progressively complex settings; includes 5-7 years of supervisory experience including multi-location supervision. Senior Technical Officer, Papua New Guinea
Located at Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, this position will provide responsive high quality technical leadership, manage technical assistance, and ensure the quality of, HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and treatment interventions and research in Papua New Guinea. Ensures establishment and scale-up of Continuum of Prevention-to-Care-to-Treatment model; Provides technical inputs to ensure high quality program implementation in PNG; Responds to requests for technical assistance in a timely manner; Develops reports, presentations, publications and other materials to a high standard, etc. MD or nursing qualification with a masters degree in relevant field with minimum 5 years experience in implementation of HIV prevention, care and treatment programs; Extensive experience in designing and implementing continuum of prevention to care to treatment programs in developing countries; Experience with U.S. government contractual requirements and experience working in an international NGO/PVO environment desirable. * Offer is contingent upon awarded contract.
