Job: Comparative Politics/International Relations - Eastern Michigan University, 12/09



The Department of Political Science invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor in International Relations and Comparative Politics, beginning August 2010. The department has 18 tenure lines supporting major programs in Political Science, International Affairs, Public Law, and Public Administration (including an MPA). Candidates who are ABD will be considered, but candidates who will complete the doctorate by the time of appointment are strongly preferred. Successful candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to both teaching and research.

The field of specialization is International Political Economy. We are particularly interested in candidates with a geographic focus in Asia and/or Africa. In addition to upper-division courses in these areas, teaching responsibilities will include Introduction to International Relations and/or Introduction to Comparative Government.
