griots (bards) or jalis, the traditional historians of their people. Among the instruments they play
to accompany their epics is the 21-string kora.

Masquerades of Southern Nigeria
It features the work of the Nigerian born sculptor Sokari Douglas Camp and
a considerable body of new work she is showing at the Museum of Mankind in
