Radford University: Fulbright Scholar in Residence, Fall 2002



Radford University has received a Fulbright Scholar in Residence award for two semesters starting Fall, 2002. This is for an African scholar, specifically from Tanzania, Botswana, or South Africa. No specific scholar was named. The scholar can be at any academic rank, but should have a field either in Political Science (including Public Policy) or Sociology/Anthropology (including Urban studies, or Rural Development). The individual would teach in his/her department in Fall semester; in Spring 2003 he/she would teach two sections of a general education course called Introduction to International Studies (a broadly interdisciplinary global issues course). In addition the scholar would participate in the African Cultures Festival that will be ongoing on campus during that academic year.
