The Global Development Gateway (GDG) is a new knowledge sharing initiative under development with the private sector, NGOs, international agencies, and governments. The Gateway is envisioned as a web portal for development, helping to alleviate poverty by bringing communities together to exchange knowledge and information. Content such as project information, research findings, best practices reports, data development news, and training services, will be tailored to the special needs of the user communities. More information on the GDG can be found at: http://www.worldbank.org/gateway
Country Gateways will bring the country's development stakeholders together to build a strong on-line network of local, regional, and global development communities on the web. Providing country views and empowering local partners to use the Internet for collaboration, e-business, e-government, knowledge sharing, benchmarking, and training, Country Gateways will have a standard format and will draw information from over 150 global and regional content aggregators and many local sources. You are encouraged to engage your colleagues in this development initiative. For additional information on the infoDev Country Gateway initiative, visit our website at: http://www.infodev.org/gateway
