Grants available from the Global Fund for Women, 2004

There's a need to empower women economically and socially if we want to win the fight against the AIDS epidemic.

The Global Fund for Women (GFW) aims to support women's groups that advance the human rights of women and girls. GFW is a grant making foundation supporting women's human rights organizations around the world working to address critical issues such as gaining economic independence, increasing girls' access to edu- cation and stopping violence against women. GFW works to strengthen women's groups based outside the United States by providing small, flexible, and timely grants ranging from US$ 500 to US$ 20,000 for operating and project expenses.
