Call for Papers: Southwestern Historical Assn. Meeting,
03/07
Please contact Patrick Barr-Melej offlist at barr-mel@ohio.edu
The Africa/Latin America Section of the Southwestern Historical Association
invites proposals for panels or individual papers for the association's
2007 meeting in Albuquerque, New Mexico, March 14-17.
The Southwestern Historical Association, in conjunction with the
Southwestern Social Science Association, will hold its 87th annual meeting
at the Hyatt Regency and Doubletree Hotels. You are cordially invited to
submit proposals for panels or individual papers in any area of history.
Proposals are welcome from faculty, independent scholars, public
historians, and graduate students.
The program coordinator for Africa and Latin America encourages Africanists
and Latin Americanists to participate in a meeting that offers unique
opportunities to hundreds of historians to present their scholarship and
promote the interests of the profession. The 2006 meeting, held in San
Antonio, was a huge success and we look forward to expanding the number of
participants and panels for 2007.
Please send a one-page abstract (for an individual paper or for each paper
on a proposed panel) and a brief c.v. by October 20, 2006 to:
Dr. Patrick Barr-Melej
