Re: All-African Students' Conference 2003

Dear Mr. Bernard,

The All-African Students' Conference, at its closing session at the University of Miami in October 2001, chose a number of institutions to host the next batch of conferences. This was done in the belief that it will provide host institutions with ample time to prepare, raise funds, publicize and organize the conference. The following institutions were chosen in the order given below:

2002 Clarke Atlanta University. 2003 University of the West Indies, Mona, Jamaica 2004 University of South Florida.

The membership expressed the hope that in subsequent years, the conference will be hosted by a Latin American country and one African country.

Please accept this letter as a formal invitation from the All-African Students' Conference Secretariat to host the conference in 2003.

Sincerely, Edmund Abaka Assistant Professor, African History Department of History Ashe 613 University of Miami P.O. Box 248107 Coral Gables, Florida 33124-4662. Tel: (305) 284-3702 Fax: (305) 284-3558 (Faculty Advisor & Secretariat Co-ordinator, AASC)
