The conference aims to address current questions around the role
of science and technology in providing solutions to end hunger,
disease and poverty. During two days of intense debate this conference will consider the
following themes:
- Rethinking agricultural science
- Globalisation, the life sciences and health
- Networks and partnerships
- Regulation
- Industrial capabilities and development
A number of eminent academics, policy makers and industry executives will address these
themes during plenary sessions including:
- Judith Wakhungu, Executive Director, African Centre for Technology Studies
- John Mugabe, Science and Technology Advisor for the New Partnership for Africa's
Development (NEPAD)
