Call for Papers: The St.Petersburg Journal of African Studies

CALL FOR PAPERS: The _St. Petersburg Journal of African Studies

The _St. Petersburg Journal of African Studies_, a biannual Russian/American Joint venture has tripled its circulation to over a thousand this year and under its new policy is looking to receive and publish material from American scholars of African studies.

At present the Journal is in its third year, and issue six is in pre-production. The _St. Petersburg Journal of African Studies_ is a non political forum for African studies specialists and graduate students to present interesting, informative, and educational papers based on their current research. (Photographs are strongly encouraged when necessary.)

The Journal is published in English, with occasional papers in French. The scope of the papers published includes: cultural anthropology, history, art history, museology, linguistics, semiotics, studies in folklore and traditional literature, studies of performance arts, contemporary urban studies, and diaspora studies.

In addition, the Journal is about to complete a full listing of all dissertations and higher educational degrees completed through 1985 in the former Soviet Union.
