7th Annual ALTA Conference

April 10th to 12th, 2003

Integrating Culture in the African Language Classroom

 

The conference begins on Thursday, April 10th at 12:00 noon with Registration followed by a Workshop from 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm and a Reception from 5:00 to 7:00 pm

Registration and ALTA Membership
The pre-registration deadline is March 10th.  The cost for regular
members is $55.00 (on-site, $60.00), for student members, $45.00
(on-site, $50.00).

Membership dues are $20.00 for regular members and $10.00 for student
members.  Please make your checks payable to ALTA.

Accommodations
A block of rooms is reserved at the University Plaza for April 10-12.
The rate is $59.95 + tax (10%).  For reservations, call toll free
888-406-4262.  Make your reservations soon, as the cut off date is
February 15th.
  

The Airport
The closest airport to Indiana University is Indianapolis
International airport, approximately one hour’s drive from
Bloomington.  Bloomington Shuttle provides transportation to and from
the airport every two hours from the Ground Transportation Center.
Since University Plaza is not on its usual list of stops, remember to
tell the driver specifically that that is your destination. They
charge $20.00 each way.  The shuttle schedule is available online at
