PAPERS

A wide-ranging program combining individual papers with a number of panel discussions. The theme of the Conference is African Identities.

Suggested Panels include Australia-Africa relations including AusAid's new policy towards Africa and the NGO sector, the area of critical theory in the African context, including consideration of gender and development, etc. Papers on any topic, and across all areas of African Studies, are invited.

PROGRAMME

Registration will take place from 5p.m. - 7p.m. on Thursday July 13, 2000.

A wide range of papers will be presented

The annual general meeting of the Association will be held at 5.30p.m. on the evening of July 14, 2000.

A conference dinner will be held on July 14, 2000.

If you have any special meal requirements, please advise when returning your registration form.

ACCOMMODATION

St. Marks college is a residential College of the University of Adelaide and is located within walking distance of the University. Accommodation at heavily subsidised rates for conference participants has been organised at the college.
