About the Illustrators
Leo Dillon, the brilliant young black designer, works in partnership
with his equally gifted wife Diane. They met as students at the Parsons
School of Design in New York and continued their studies at the American
Institute of Graphic Arts and the School of Visual Arts, where Mr.
Dillon presently spends part of his week teaching. The Dillons have set
up their own studio in a converted brownstone in the Cobble Hill
district of Brooklyn which also provides commodious living space for
themselves and their five-year-old son Lee. Here they work on
commissions, largely from the publishing field, consistently producing
work of outstanding quality. Their work has appeared regularly in the
Society of Illustrators Show and in the S.l.S. ANNUAL and, was recently
shown at the Communications Forum for Black Artists.
