Information Bank on African Development Studies (IBADS)

Information Bank on African Development Studies (IBADS) is an electronic service provided by the Africa Technical Department (AFT) at the World Bank. Its objective is to disseminate information about development studies on Sub-Saharan Africa. IBADS consists of three components: an index of abstracts of studies undertaken by AFT, the abstracts of these studies, and AFT's publication "Findings" in both English and French.

As you may recall, since the beginning of this year, IBADS service has been provided worldwide over the INTERNET through a listserv mechanism. I am pleased to announce that IBADS has now been installed on the World Bank Gopher and may, therefore, be accessed by Gopher and Mosaic protocols. Hence, with listserv, which provides EM access, and with Gopher and Mosaic, which provide interactive access, IBADS can now reach a maximum worldwide audience.

Questions on IBADS should be sent via e-mail to me at MALI2@worldbank.org.
