ANC Information

The African National Congress is committed to the free flow of information in South Africa. For this reason we are making available information about the ANC on the Internet.

For those with access to the Internet, information about the ANC is now available by anonymous FTP, Gopher and World Wide Web.

The information is stored in a number of directories. Currently these are:

     /graphics
     /history
     /misc
     /news
     /policy_docs
     /press_statements

You can access the information by FTP as follows:

     ftp wn.apc.org [or worknet.apc.org]
     login: anonymous
     password: [your e-mail address]
     cd anc
     dir (to display directory list)
     cd [directory of your choice]
     ls [or dir] (to display list/directory of files)
     get [desired filename] [filename...]
     quit

To access ANC information by Gopher type 'gopher wn.apc.org' at your prompt, choose 'African National Congress Information' from the top menu and then choose the area you are interested in.
