SECURITY DIALOGUE

Magne Barth, from the International Peace Research Institute, Oslo (PRIO), is the editor of an international journal entitled SECURITY DIALOGUE. Published quarterly, the journal discusses contemporary international and intergroup affairs, searching for solutions to conflict situtations in the light of general peace research theory.
Focusing on global peace and security, and incorporating dimensions such as justice, human rights and development, the journal emphasizes inter-regional dialogue and seeks to provoke reflection and debate on issues such as regional conflict patterns, the transformation of the international system, fragmentation and integration, security and the environment, military issues, and arms proliferation.

JOUNAL OF PEACE RESEARCH

International Peace Research Institute (PRIO), the Journal of Peace
Research is published under the auspices of the International Peace
Research Association (IPRA). JPR is an interdisciplinary and
international quarterly publishing scholarly work in peace research,
concentrating on the causes of violence and conflict resolution.
The journal concentrates on causes of violence, methods of conflict
resolution, and ways of sustaining peace. Many articles develop policy
recommendatins from their findings.

EUROPEAN JOURNAL OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS

SAGE Publications is pleased to announce the launch of the European
Journal of International Relations in 1995, a new scholarly venture
published under the auspices of the Standing Group on International
Relations of the ECPR.
Edited by Walter Carlsnaes, from Uppsala University in Sweden, the
journal will pay special attention to conceptual, normative and formal
theories, seeking in particular to foster an awareness of
methodological and epistemological questions in the study of
International Relations.
It will reflect research and developments of both a conceptual and an
empirical nature in the major sub-areas of the field, including
Foreign Policy Analysis, International Organisation, Strategy and
Conflict, International Law, and International Political Economy.
Contributions are now invited for early issues of the journal. The
editor welcomes submissions from both Europe and elsewhere, on any of
the themes mentioned herein.
Manuscripts should be submitted in triplicate, typed (or word
processes) in double spacing on one side of the paper only. Their
length should not normally exceed 7000 words. The Harvard system for
bibliographical references is to be used, with notes, references,
tables, figures and acknowledgements placed at the end of the
manuscript. Each submission will be reviewed anonymously by at least
two referees.
