      The Africa section of the Office of the US Trade Representative focuses on trade between the United States and Africa and the five member countries of the Southern African Customs Union — Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, South Africa and Swaziland. This site provides access to a document library of press releases, fact sheets, speeches and op-eds and includes links to information on trade and growth initiatives in Africa.
  • Trade and Environment Database (TED)- American University
      The Trade & Environment Databases is a project conceived of by Dr. James R. Lee of American University's School of International Service. TED is a collection of categorical case studies begun in September 1992 that began with a focus on solely environmental issues, but not excluding the economic consequences of other social policy choices, such as culture, rights, or other issues. TED Cases include 28 categories organized into 6 clusters of information with extensive search and knowledge capabilities. There are over 700 TED cases studies. It is hoped that this infrastructural effort will spur researchers to identify other relevant cases and to analyze trade and environment issues in a systematic fashion.

      (UNCTAD), the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development was convened in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, in February 1992. The UNTPDC Africa Home Page is information service for all African countries and it includes the links for Trade Points,, Ministries and Organizations, Internet Service Providers, Mission Reports, etc.
