African languages at Penn can be taken:

Three main language courses are offered:

Amharic

Kiswahili
-
Yoruba
There
are also individualized
tutorials in Hausa,
Twi, Shona, Wolof, Zulu, and other languages upon request.

Exchange programs: Penn has undergraduate study programs in Kenya, Senegal,Ghana,
and Zimbabwe. Students who would like to participate in these programs
are encouraged to study the native languages of these countries which are
Kiswahili, Wolof, Twi, and Shona respectively. Kiswahili is taught as a
regular course beginning every Fall; and Wolof, Twi, and Shona can be taken
under the individu alized tutorial program mentioned above. For more information
